Google Tag Manager now supports AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages)
Tag Manager gains support for AMP containers, along with upgrades for users that work with Firebase events and parameters.
Google’s help website includes a list of supported tags. While implementing measurement solutions on AMP pages has already been possible, it can be confusing and cumbersome for folks who are new to AMP or who have tagging needs beyond tracking a basic page view. That’s why, in addition to Google Analytics, AMP containers in Tag Manager provide support across Google’s ad platforms including AdWords and DoubleClick. You will find more than 20 tag types available out of the box including a variety of 3rd party vendor tags. We also made sure that firing your tags is a breeze with great coverage of AMP’s triggers as readily available built-in Tag Manager triggers.
In the same post, Google also announced new integrations between Tag Manager and Firebase events and parameters. (Firebase is Google’s platform for mobile developers.) It gets more technical here, so be sure to see Google’s post if you want to know more about those new features.
